Regional office Water Source Approval lase files.

As part of its mandate to protect drinking Water Supplies, the Division of Water Supply issues permits to local and distric t water systems to withdraw water from previously unapproved sources such as ponds, streams, or reservoirs, pursuant to MGLA c 111, s 17. This program is implemented at the local level under regional offices of the Department of Environmental Protection by the various regional engineers for resource protection. This series of case files was created to investigate the quality of projected water wsources and to approve the design of the of the accompanying water deliverty system.
